Sampdoria have completely changed there team after the transfer window and now Dan woody reckons they can win the league

Sampdoria got off the mark against Juventus in a stalemate affair in Genoa. Antonio Cassano opened the scoring for Sampdoria but they were hit back by a powerful Juventus side which contained Colunga and he powered a shot into the Sampdoria net which levelled it to 1-1. Edison Cavani who completed a move from Napoli on Deadline day proved to Sampdoria fans that he was a good signing by clinically finishing after being set up by Antonio Cassano. Sampdoria looked to have all 3 points in the bag until a piece of magic from Vinchenzo Laquinta in the 76th min which shocked the faithful from genoa. Juventus could of won it late on when G.Curci made a blunder but a Bonucci coudnt convert it to steal a unlikely for the old lady.

Lyon 0-1 Sampdoria

Sampdoria proved again why they are a force to be reckoned with in Division 3, The diffrence between the sides was in the final 3rd and Lyon talisman Lisandro Lopez was kept quite by Christian Chivu and Daniel Gastadello but at the other end it was a diffrent story for Antonio Cassano as he pounced on a great ball from Cavani before taking on Cris and calmy finishing into the top corner. Sampdoria keeper Curci wasnt forced into any hasty saves and Lyons blunt attack were drifting from the game. Ballack and Palombo controlled the midfield and this set it up for the italians to snatch all 3 points in France.

Sampdoria are looking good, 3 games played and 2 wins with 1 draw. They destroyed Wolfsburg with ease and Antonio Cassano reckons they can win the title . " We have players that would get into any side and we have a manager who knows how to use them"  Champion players + Champion manager = Champion team

Wolfsburg 1-4 Sampdoria

Not many teams go into a game against Wolfsburg expecting a win but Sampdoria did that, They opened the scoring with Cassano netting a neat finish but that joy was soon shortlived, a dangerous cross was heading away from goal but Daniel Gastadello commited a error that would make the genoa fans pull their hair out , He headed it straight into the top corner of the net, Any striker would of been impressed with that finish. Antonio Cassano was having an impact of the game and when his skill bamboozled Josue and he earned Sampdoria a free kick from an dangerous area, Romanian captain Christian Chivu curled it into the top corner in spectacular style. 2-1 Sampdoria was the chant from the away fans but that was again short lived, Another silly error from Josue meant an Sampdoria free kick and German power ace Michael Ballack stepped up and slammed into the near post of the Wolfsburg goal keeper. 3-1 Sampdoria and Wolfsburg looked shell shocked, The misery didnt end there for the home fans, Edison Cavani was played through after a scintillating ball from Cassano and he finished it with ease and most of the home fans were leaving already even though it was only the 70th minute of the game, Manager Dan reacted to the situation by playing a defensive 4-2-2-2- formation to close the game out and this was the case. Sampdoria look like title challengers and their star player Antonio Cassano looks un-stoppable.
