According to espn.com, this is the best team of all times

GK : G. Buffon

DEF: Beckenbauer, Maldini, Roberto Carlos

MID: Maradona, Zidane, Platini, Ronaldinho

FWD: Pele, Ronaldo, Cruyff

Coach: Zagallo.

What do you think about it?

Its funny to see how these 'best teams' always have a ton of attacking-minded players and very few work horses. The ESPN team practically has 7 forwards. I don't know who picked the team, but I'm pretty sure that no manager in his right mind would ever pick a squad like that. Shocking how little people seem to value the skill, stamina and intelligence that good holding midfielders must have, they are always ignored.

But I guess it would be amusing to see Beckenbauer, Maradona, Zidane, Platini, Pele and Cruyff try to sort out who's the boss :-)

BTW, Schmeichel tops Buffon!

Schmeichel was better than Buffon, but the best goalie has to go to Banksy,

A llegend in his own making, also if Beckenbauer's there as a centre back then where the hell is Bobby Moore?

As Peter said, too attacking minded, players like Nobby Stiles and roy Keane were legends in there time.
