My idea:

3 or 4 divisions with 8 teams. Top 2 get promotion, 3rd place plays against 6th place in the upper division. 7th and 8th place relegates...

Transfer market should be the same as it is now!

i agree with you techno on the idea of 4 leagues mate. aboody will say its too much hassle we wanted two leagues before why change, but from trial and error the best way is to have 4 leagues imo, people were more active and it was alot more exciting having shorter seasons. 

or even, cut the amount of teams out and use less teams. 

I think these should get scrapped: Marseille, Celtic, Hamburg

maybe a few others but really, from their starting teams the manager will have a hard task building a team. Although i wouldnt be bothered but a few others might. 

To really clamp down on inactive managers, we really need to be strickter and start simming games if not played say within a week? with the more active manager getting the win and if a certain amount of games have been lost with sim's then they should get sacked.

Also, rather than letting new people joining the site getting top jobs that others have left, managers already existing should be able to apply by pming their interest to aboody. This i think would be fairer than letting new people take the top jobs ie man united/barcelona which has happened on a few occasions.

IMO, there is an excess of teams in the league, we should narrow it to lets say 20. (That's because there are TONS of managers who are inactive most of the time; plus, everyone will get a good team.)

I like the idea of being able to apply for an empty spot, it's more fair and adds some reality to the league.

And we should do the live draw as soon as the demo comes out. (Sept. 16th).

20 does seem a good number for the amount of teams.

Here are my ideas.

Stick to 2 divisions but decide sizes by the amount people who post to say they are going to be active.

Also I'm not sure about Valenica as they probably won't be rated so highly, maybe Sampdoria instead?

Also I'd like a change in external transfers, keep the 2 limit for players rated 75+ but players rated under 75 there should be no limit, me for example (and I know a few others) like to buy players from the teams we support but it's difficult in the sense that you don't want to 'waste' your 2 player limit. That aside allowing people to have no limit on players rated under 75 isn't going to give anyone an advantage.

Also put a timeframe on fixtures to play them otherwise the team which can't/won't play automatically forefits the game. Of course if someone has a genuine reason then it should be postponed but it might get more fixtures to be fulfilled.

I think after the transfer window closes, people who are away or absent whilst it is open should be allowed a set amount of transfers when they return so they have oppotunity to strengthen their squad.

Zenit or CSKA Moscow might be a good choice.

there is also stuttgart, ajax, psv and tbh i wouldnt be mad if i got hoffenheim.

but to actually decide for defo on the teams we would need to wait until fifa 11 comes out to see what teams are better, could be a few that are crap now but could be really good in fifa 11.

Cutting down the number to as far as 20 may be a problem, either keep the current nmber with 4 divisions, or go to 24 with either 4 divisions of 6, or 3 of 8 , where there is one top division and then two "feeder divisions", so maybe the top two in each of the lower go into the top division. to make four new teams each season in the "top" division.

Yeah i know but i defo think they should stay in the league they still finished 3rd in la liga which is good considering the money Barca and especially Madrid spend these days

I think Valencia will get 4th, Sevilla 3rd. Dont know what Valencia got left, think Napoli could be a good replacement for them tbh..

Ok, so we all agree we should narrow down the teams to 20.

Now here comes the hardest part, which managers are going to get sacked? There are 5 or 6 who are going to get sacked for sure, but as for the others, how are we going to decide who leaves and who stays? Shall we leave this decision to Aboody?

Guys, come Fifa 11 loads of people will be intrested in signing up, Its the summer holidays so thats why people are busy.
