Lakeside lost to Poole Pirates 43-46 as Chris Holder and Darcy Ward got a 4-2 in the last heat to secure the win.
Its hard on Lakeside but i think Poole were the better side. Also well done to Poland on winning the world cup although i think Denmark would of won with a fit Nikki Pedersen.

I don't know anything about the status of speedway in the UK, but I have to tell you that in Denmark it is considered to be the greatest redneck sport of all, except perhaps for pig tossing

the status is pretty poor, only council house people really go and watch it, as you can see.

Who is your favourite rider?
Kenneth Bjerre rides for Peterborough in the Elite League in Britain. He and Iversen are legends.

Don't really know much about it except that Hans Andersen and Nicki Pedersen are our top drivers, don't follow it except when I catch the headlines in the sports section. I prefer reading about Bendtner :-)

Hans Andersen was our captain in 2006 when he won us the league title in 06. Will never forget that night, two 8-1s and a 5-1 in the end to beat Reading Bulldogs.
The happiest day of my life

Peterborough Panthers lost 44-46 to Coventry Bees at home and this is there 2nd home defeat in a week. Peterborough hold that crucial 4th place but the Bees are only 3 points behind and with 2 fixtures left for each team it will be a nail biting finish to the Elite League season.
