I'm praying the team goes out today and play like lions. If they play 100% and lose i wont be so gutted I think the World Cup would be better with a team like Ireland in it. I know France have the better players and are more exciting but its always good to have a team who play with all their hearts like Ireland do - we were so unlucky against the Spanish in 2002, so so unlucky!! Come on Kevin Doyle / Damien Duff / Aidan McGeedy - step up and make a difference!!! | |

What you think of the game Marty? Me personally i thought we were very unlucky. Played great in the first half - really gritty performance. Second half was a different story France stepped up big time and Ireland (as always being irish and unfit, slowed down and left gaps) But we really didn't deserve to lose!! Goal was very very lucky. We deserved a 0-0 scoreline Now its near impossible to go to France and get a result so Ireland can qualify - pity really...... Your thoughts???? | |

Yea we didnt deserve to lose we had or chances and didnt take them, and yes ere goal was lucky. I dont think its impossible to go to france and get a result we could get a win there, will be hard but can be done scotland did it a year or two ago COME ON IRELAND | |

We need it But Keith Barry (a magician from Ireland) predicted Ireland would win 2-1 Lets hope he is right!!!! It would nearly be as good the night Liverpool winning the '05 European Cup if we could win tonight!! | |

Member Posts: 382 | Gutted - F**k**g gutted. Cant take it in just yet. Still very very angry this morning. Henry is one of my fav players of all time (cant believe what he did) Im so proud to be Irish. I think that was the best Irish performance i have seen in many years. The Fans, The Manager and the Players last night where world class! I know we should have put away our chances and killed the game but still......very hard to take Ireland will not be in the World Cup (to have lost one single game in the entire campaign and not get to the World Cup is heartbreaking!!!!!) Cant write anymore - tears falling onto the keyboard!! | |
